Cost of Doing Business

  1. Kentucky’s favorable tax and business climate – ranked in the least-expensive quartile of state and local taxes.
  2. Kentucky Incentive Programs – a selection of incentive programs for new and expanding companies, programs are for both “white-collar” and manufacturing projects.
  3. Kentucky has the lowest overall cost of doing business when compared to states that are generally considered to be economic competitors with the Commonwealth, including Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia.

Energy Cost

Kentucky has one of the lowest energy costs in the nation with a ranking of 67, the lowest among states that are considered to be economic competitors with Kentucky. The U.S. average is 100.
