Derby Day Derby
Day is held the first Saturday in May on Main Street in Williamstown. The "old fashioned, country heritage" festival features live entertainment and music, food, crafts, art, contests, carnival rides, a truck/car show and a petting zoo. Admission and parking are free. Grant County Relay for Life
The relay is the signature fundraiser event for the American Cancer Society and features games, prizes , a silent auction, cake walk, entertainment and contest during the 12-hour event where teams walk on the track and raise money to fund cancer research and programs. A special luminary ceremony to honor cancer survivors and remember those who've lost their battle with cancer is held at 10 p.m. For more information, contact Jamie Baker-Nantz, at 824.3343.
Grant County Fair The Grant County Fair draws hundreds of visitors to Grant County each summer. The event features carnival rides, games, food booths, tractor pulls, beauty contests, horse shows and live entertainment. The fair is organized by a group of volunteers that comprise the Grant County Fair Board. For more information, contact Bill Cull, fair board president, at 824.5943.
Senior Bash This event is organized by the Grant County Recreation Department and funded by the Grant County Fiscal Court and various businesses and organizations. For more information, contact Tabatha Fryman at 428.4500.
Corinth Fall Fest The Corinth Fall Fest is held the last weekend of September. The festival is organized by the Corinth Fall Fest Committee. For more information call Bonnie Eckler at 502.857.0162.
Kentucky Horse Heritage Days Kentucky Horse Heritage Days is a two-day event held on the last full weekend in September. This event features draft horse pulls and exhibitions, contest horse shows and horse fun shows, children's activities, also featuring Kentucky Proud food vendors.
Halloween in the Park Halloween in the Park began many years ago at the Grant County Courthouse in Williamstown as a fun event organized by the Grant County News. Since then it has moved to Grant County Park the last weekend of October and features a haunted trail, hayride and lots of candy. The event is free to the public and is sponsored by the Grant County News, Community Enrichment Through the Arts and the Grant County Parks Department. Kiwanis Charity Auction The Williamstown Kiwanis oragnize a charity auction in early November. Various businesses and individuals donate items for the auction which is then shown live on Williamstown's Access Channel. Proceeds from the auction are used to sponsor scholorships, as well as other community projects. For more information, call Ken Stone at 824.3343.
